When we arrived here, we first doubted whether we would reinstate the old aviary. Keeping
birds in a cage seemed like a tribute to their singing, but deep down we knew better: birds
should be free, fluttering around happily in a limitless sky. So we decided: no aviary – just
their pure freedom.
And what a gift nature gave us. Day after day, the entire grounds fill with the soft chirping of
sparrows and the matchless repertoire of the nightingale. While our guests are still sipping a
cup of coffee next to the olive tree, their morning is enchanted by the concert of, among
others:
- The royal little owl, which deploys its hunting song from the silence in the morning,
- The colourful hoopoe, slimmer than a brush stroke to the evening sky,
- The lullaby-like oriole, whistling between the branches,
- The proud great spotted woodpecker, tapping rhythmically on the trunk,
- The fresh sound of a European canary, like a scale in miniature,
- The soft sigh of the Turkish dove, gentle and melancholic,
- The dramatic aria of the nightingale after sunset,
- The peaceful wood pigeon, a symbol of calm in the morning mist,
- The lively black tit, frolicking in the bushes,
- The mysterious call of the cuckoo from the depths of the forest,
- The tiny but powerful pygmy owl, nocturnal and invisible,
- The winged storyteller, the blackbird, always on post,
- The merry swarm of sparrows – a family on the move,
- The shy nuthatch that spreads its song like a secret code.
Their combined presence makes a stay at La Vida Soñada like attending a unique symphony
in a heavenly cathedral of greenery.
We share this not only because it sounds beautiful, but also because it captures the essence of
what we want to offer here: an oasis where people can truly feel the connection with nature in
